hello!
My name is Elena Meneghini and I am 31 years old. Born and raised in Italy, I am a Visual and User Interface Designer. I studied Industrial Design at Scuola Italiana Design and Graphic Design at Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice. I like to design simple and functional interfaces, paying attention to details, as well as focusing on user needs. I also love logo design and creating strong visual identities.
my skills
I believe that less is more. I enjoy designing interfaces that are clean, easy to use and intuitive.
my workflow

Sketching
I usually start a project with some research and take a pencil and a paper afterwards, sketching my ideas: it gives me more freedom to illustrate what’s in my mind than when I use a computer. I can explore multiple options I could take in a particular design concept.

Wireframing
The purpose of wireframing is to focus on the best experience for users and define the structure and the layout of the website/app. I use Sketch or Balsamiq for rapid wireframing and Principle or Invision for interactive prototypes. I can use After Effects for some basic animations.

Final Mock-up
Now I can play with colors, shapes and fonts to design user interfaces with clear and effective visual communication. I prefer to mock-up the designs in Sketch because it’s 100% vector and more flexible than Photoshop, but I can do them in Photoshop too, if needed.
